Welcome!

Welcome to Picture This! I hope you enjoy looking around.

I’m excited to tell everyone all about the Dagara people of Burkina Faso. First, I’m setting the background to their daily lives that will lead into more specific aspects of their culture. There are also many interesting things about the country as a whole that I will touch on a little bit.

Burkina is a wonderful country with so many sincerely nice people. I hope you enjoy this small insight into their lives.

To get started, just click on the featured picture at the top (to see the latest post) or on the links to my posts on the right. Feel free to explore some of the other links on this site as well. My husband, Aaron has a great blog about our ministry here, and my son Daniel is learning how to blog as well! You can also see more of my pictures by clicking on the Flickr button at the top or the link at the bottom of the pictures.

Also, I would love to hear from you and interact with you. Please leave comments!

Have a great day!

  3. Hi, my name is Alicia. I am from Sonny’s missionary class at ACU and I was reading over your blog and I am just so excited! I honestly think that God is calling me to Burkina Faso for a specific ministry I have in mind. Also, I saw that you are focusing on photojournalism and I love that! I am a Missions major but I would like to minor in something to do with photojournalism. Anyways, I just felt that I should share that with you. Keep up the amazing work you are doing for the kingdom 🙂

    • Thanks Alicia! We enjoyed talking with you guys today! I’m intrigued…I’d love to hear more about the ministry you are wanting to do. If there’s anything our team can do to help, let us know. We’d love for more people to come here! The photojournalism is new in the grand scheme of the years here, but I am having so much fun and some challenges with it. There are plenty of things to take interesting pics of, that’s for sure!

      • I’m so sorry I’ve taken so long to reply back. I would love to talk to you more about the ministry that I am looking into. Do you have an email I can talk to you through?

  4. Your Dad and I have been friends for 60 years….met in Jr. High….. matter of fact we’re on the phone right now …. 🙂

    God Bless you and yours….
